| What to Expect | Chartering the boat for a full day is for those who want to enjoy the experience to the fullest. We have access to a wide range of fishing grounds and can target more species of fish. When the fishing is hot, we have the time to stay on the fish. Before boarding, we provide a briefing to introduce the crew, the layout of the boat, our fishing plan, safety procedures, and technique. |
The first stop on our trip is catching live bait. Every morning before sunrise, mackerel (opelu) school on the surface to feed, and we load the baitwell before heading to the grounds. We target areas that have been productive recently and have access to six different state-maintained FAD buoys that attract game fish.
We typically aim to be back at the harbor by 2:30 pm. However, we are fishermen at heart; on days when the fishing is red hot, we give you the option to extend the charter to keep the momentum going.
Fish Policy
Our captain and crew are commercial fishermen dedicated to providing the trip of a lifetime. To ensure a sustainable and professional operation, we provide 50 lbs of whole fish on a full day charter (25 lbs on half days). Fish over 80 lbs stay with the boat to be sold commercially, as larger fish require over 24 hours to properly chill for consumption and lose their market value once cut.
Our goal is to put you on as much fish as possible. If you would like to keep more than 50 lbs of fish from your day, please reach out to us before your trip so we can accommodate your needs. We want this to be your “best ever” fishing trip so that we can fish together again and again.
We target the “Big 5″—Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Ono, Ahi, and Aku—with a professional commercial fishing mindset. Our goal is simple: to put you on as much fish as possible and provide the high-action stories of a lifetime.
